Physically things are a bit pants, but that happens ~ it's pretty much swings and roundabouts, ups and downs right now as I try to establish a base for myself and concentrate on then building up my energy and activity.
However, mentally things are improving bit by bit, I'm finding that discovering my inner witch and learning the craft along with Tai Chi, Therapeutic Touch, Photography, Gardening and surrounding myself by nature and animals is helping me so much. I feel that I have finally found my inner peace and what chimes with me.
I know many folk may snigger at the witch aspect but I say to those people ~ don't knock what you don't understand. Everyone has to find their own path and respect that of others ~ that's just my thought on the matter.
Anyhoo ~ new domain!
This is it ... https://www.purplelily.net ... my new blog domain on Blogger which will replace my old one over on WordPress which is .. https://purplelily.blog/ .... although that won't happen immediately.
Initially I shall run both blogs alongside each other until my WordPress domain and plan expire.
Why am I switching?
When I started blogging back in the day I was here on Blogger under the name Crazy Purple Mama. After a few years I started lusting after the designs and layouts of folks blogs on WordPress and so switched. However, I hadn't considered the additional cost being so much greater.
This ongoing excessive cost resulted in me downgrading my WordPress plan at the beginning of this year ~ however this also left me with no media storage and I had to delete all my past blogs to enable me to have any storage at all. I miss not being able to upload videos and photos but can't afford to upgrade my plan to regain storage.
SO ~ I revisited my old Blogger account and gave it a little makeover, bought a new domain name (for just £10 a year ~ a fraction of the cost of my WordPress domain) and the plan on blogger is free as opposed to the annual fee I have to pay WordPress and can no longer afford. This free Blogger account has won me over because it also allows me to upload photos and videos to my blog ~ for no additional cost!
I am happy to give up the fancy templates with additional features and plugins in order to have a simpler, user friendly blog which allows me add media to my posts. It may not be super fancy but it's clean and efficient and does what I need it to do.
I hope that those of you who follow me on WordPress will continue to follow me over here on blogger by subscribing to my blog by email.
Like I said though, in the interim I shall run my blogs on both sites, so that my existing followers can still find me ~ but I shall only be sharing to social media via this blog.
Then in a few months time I shall be deleting my WordPress site for good, by then I hope all those who wish to continue following me will have already switched over to follow me here.
